Hello,

I'm from "south of Atlanta". I just found Tri Fuel today ... thought I'd stick my head in. Seems cool so far. Done about 5 TRIs including IMFL 2005. Got the tattoo :) Had to get back to life stuff - you know build a house for wife, change jobs, re-introduce myself to family, so past couple years
just been maintaining fitness. Ready to ramp up and head toward another IM in a year or two. I love the workouts even if I never raced.

Oh well - see ya around I guess ...

Have a good one!

Hello Kylie,

I have my eye on IMFL again in 2009 so I am primarily interested in building my bike endurance this year and work on some speed improvement in shorter distance runs. My races are really just for interest Maybe not the best plan. By June I'll decide if I am going to do South Carolina 1/2 Iron.

2008 schedule:

1/2 marathon ING Georgia in March.
A local century ride "Tour de Pike" early April.
Possible Olympic TRI in May.
5K swim June.
PTC TRI - Sprint in Sept.
Possible SC 1/2 Iron Sept.
Silver Comet 1/2 marathon Oct.

I have some beautiful country around here to ride including an 80 mile round trip to Callaway Gardens http://www.callawaygardens.com/ which I hope to do several times this year.

Have a good one!

Are you close to the Blue Willow Cafe ? I'm actually close to Concord Georgia ... but who's heard of that.

I've been only once - quite some time ago - and it wasn't too close if I remember correctly. I'm about 30 miles NE of Atlanta - near Stone Mountain. I have heard of Concord, but not sure where it is. Are you near P'tree City?

I'm also signed up for the ING 1/2 in March, the Run the Reagan 1/2 in February and the Xterra 10K trail run also in February. I haven't gotten around to any other races for next year yet.

Blue Willow was frequently visited by Columnist the late Lewis Grizzard. Good southern restaurant, but I have to infrequent those places now.
Concord is ~ 30 miles from Peachtree City ... where I happen to work. A lot of triathletes here. http://www.tri-ptc.com/.

That trail run sounds good. I'll have to check that out.

Cheers

Definitely a great plan! It's all about fun and keeping motivation up for training :)

And those trails around Callaway Gardens are beautiful!
