Lasik and Training
Lasik made my training life so much better. I think the only problem you will have besides swimming for two weeks is maybe dry eyes and some unpredicted blurring. The blurring goes away when you blink a few times. biking shouldn't be a problem if you were your eye protection. I was very active the 2 days after the surgery. no more contacts coming out or glasses steaming up!
I've heard people say that you aren't allowed to sweat for X amount of days after the procedure, but my Dr. just told me to pad the sweat instead of wiping it out of my eyes.
As for swimming, no swimming for 4 weeks is what I was told. I had a tri 30 days after my surgery, and the doctor said I would be fine. My eye drops for fighting infection were supposed to be done after 28 days, but I had a little left so I used them for days 29 and 30 also.
As for the bike, I was told to stay off my motorcycle for 1 week, then for the next 3 weeks to only ride with a full face helmet. I let them know that I rode bicycles, and they said that was fine. I always ride my bicycle with eye protection anyway.
Obviously swimming is much more enjoyable now that I can see without contacts or glasses. It's also nice to not have to adjust my contacts after wiping sweat from my eyes. Training has been so much better since getting Lasik.

Anyone have any experience getting lasik done and the issues it creates during training? I know i can't swim for two weeks thinking biking due to wind would be out for a while too?
