Hi All:

Last summer I bought the Timex Ironman 30 Lap Heart Rate Monitor. It appeared to be working fine until Monday.

Sunday I ran the inaugural Manchester City Marathon, and had a great time. Broke all my time goals, and felt great afterwards.

But now the display on my watch is all fogged up, with what appears to be lots of condensation on the inside. It's water resistant up to 50 meters.

I had a similar problem with an earlier HRM, the Nike Triax.

I'm looking for a tried and tested HRM that doesn't quit after 6 months.
Any suggestions?

Thanks all.

I've had my current Polar (625X) for over 2 years - works great and the HR strap and watch battery are still going. This after training for 2 IMs this year alone.

I have had my Polar 525s for 4 years , trained for 2 IM's and about 8 marathons. I wear it every time I run/ride/swim. Same battery so far......
Love it

Interesting.
I will inspect some Polar HRMs in the coming days.
