Okay so I really want to get an indoor trainer but I have just one issue....I think.

My bike is OLD and doesn't have a quick release rear wheel.
Do I have any options? I'll add that I really don't want a roller setup.

The blackburn trainer I had came with a quick release skewer, but if I remember right, bolted wheels don't allow a skewer anyway...

Shouldn't be a problem as the trainers compress against the skewer/axle to support the bike.

Are you riding a track bike?

No, it's an older road bike. When I say older I mean 1991.
It's a Concord Classic by Columbus bikes.

Decent bike for it's age.

if it has a stainless steel hub on the skewer, you should be fine to lock it into a trainer. the plastic ones are probably more problematic.

then again, i guess the real issue is whether your specific bike fits into the particular trainer cam lock... can you take you bike to the lbs and see if it fits?

I use a Cycleops trainer and I know that it's possible it would fit. Just depends on the diameter of the nut.

The obvious solution if you can't find a trainer is to buy a new wheel. You could get an old beater wheel fairly cheap on e-bay.

Thanks for all of the input!

I'll probably take the bike to the LBS, they sell Cycleops.
