Training for the Western Australian Ironman. Their drink supplier is endura with lemon lime magnesium hydration formula being the race drink. This stuff has a tone of magnesium in it the same as some gut motility agents. I am hoping the same effect does not occur during the race, especially for anyone behind me. I have about 5 weeks to get used to it.
Anyone got any experience good or bad???
I bought some when I was in OZ (pineapple flavour). I used in in training when I returned home in the early months prepping for IMC. I only used it on short rides or runs (<2hours) where I only carried one bottle. I didn't experience any adverse effects but again short workouts only. Hope you can find someone with expereince using it longer. Overall I really enjoyed it.
Why would you change from what a you are currently using? Use use what works for you - I had to bring my stuff down to OZ and even use different stuff on course here as well as Gatorade just doesn't agree with me (particularly on the bike) .

Thanks. I have used Horleys replace for years and years in training and events. My intention is to take that on the bike. My past IM and half IM's have all been in pretty low temps so I have usually done the run on water and gel. In IM NZ this year the temp really got up on the run and this hurt so I am trying to build in an electrolyte drink I can tolerate. I am not fond of running with bottles so it seems logical to bite the bullet and get used to a formula on the course.
