Hey all-
There are a few small discontinuities in the coating on my carbon fiber frame. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

I have very limited experience with carbon fiber; I laid some for a bike for a senior project. Depending on what the exact problem is, if you were to try to fix the problem yourself, I would get more resin and fill in the “bad” area and then wet sand the area back to its original state, however this also has the potential to make the problem much worse if it is done wrong. If it were me, I would be contact the manufacturer and tell them the problem, sometimes they are willing to help out and fix the problem for little to no cost.

A mate of mine had a similar problem with a Scott plasma carbon frame. His frame had small defects within the carbon rather than the coating which i believe is some kind of polymer. Scott replaced the frame and advised him that fibre defects were not able to be repaired. I would get this to the supplier for a check
