Hi all,
I've fallen in love again with triathlon after ignoring it for a few years. I started in my mid-20's on a whim while living in Chicago and was hooked instantly. Like a fool, I did an IM the next year (Great Floridian), then a few more (IM Canada and New Zealand) while racing as many olys and 1/2 IMs as I possibly could.
I moved to Switzerland in late 2001, and the following spring I rode up the Alpe d'Huez on my tri bike and decided that I definitely needed a road bike if I was going to enjoy all the epic climbs over here. Since then I've only done one tri while riding all over the Alps, doing road races and some occasional running races...the pool just didn't have any allure.
Late last year after moving to Barcelona, I decided to do a spring marathon, and after a leisurely recovery, I jumped into a couple sprint tris this fall, and I'm hooked again! My goal is to train as structured as I did for the marathon during this winter, do a 1/2 IM next June 1, and then decide where my next IM will be in late '08 or more likely '09 when I'll be the big 4-0.
Glad to be here and I look forward to learning a lot from everyone.
