Healing During A Taper

So I'm tapering officially for Manchester Marathon on Nov. 4.

I've done two twenties, and on Saturday I did 15. I've been having this nagging hip problem, both medial and lateral parts of the hip.

Overall it seems the pain goes away as the run continues. After about 9 miles, it really begins to work alot more fluidly. But then its super stiff the next day.

I'm trying to figure out when to take time off, to let it heal. I figure if I just stick with pool running this week, then do my long run of 10 miles Saturday, I should feel alot better. I am running Manchester for fun with friends, as we trained on these roads for many years during undergrad.

I'm still doing lots of core, to keep my form well.

Thanks for any advice on when to take it easy to let this blasted thing go away.

Best,
A.Low
