New event will be first-ever Ironman 70.3 in the Washington DC Metropolitan area

The site will keep fans and media abreast of all the latest news and developments with the triathlon competition at the Olympics, including a breakdown of the complex qualification process.

Three-Time Ironman World Champion will join 2,400 endurance athletes at 17th annual 70.3 race in Cambridge, MD on June 10

Columbia, Md. – TriColumbia, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier endurance event production company, announced today three-time Ironman World Champion, Craig “Crowie” Alexander, will compete in the 17th annual Endurafit Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon. Alexander will join more than 2,400 endurance athletes in a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run on June 10, 2012 in Cambridge, Md.

Scheduled for Saturday August 25, 2012, the inaugural Expedition Man is attracting athletes to enjoy all that Northern Nevada scenery has to offer with a beautiful 2.4 or 1.2 mile swim in Lake Tahoe; a challenging 112 or 56 mile bike course throughout Northern Nevada, and a 26.2 or 13.1 mile run in and around Reno and Sparks. The USA Triathlon sanctioned event will traverse the communities of Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Washoe Valley, Reno and Sparks and will highlight breathtaking and iconic Northern Nevada scenery.
