NORCROSS, Georgia (June 20, 2011) -- Blue Competition Cycles, Inc. has hired Mike Giraud as the company's Product Development Specialist, adding one of the world's leading bike aerodynamics experts to its growing staff.

Giraud joins Norcross, Georgia-based Blue after spending the past five years as the Director of Cycling Programs at the A2 Wind Tunnel in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he oversaw all aspects of the tunnel's bike program.

Raelert and van Vlerken victorious at Challenge Kraichgau

Missoula, MT, June 2, 2011–Montana professional triathete Linsey Corbin, regarded as one of the top American Ironman athletes, has announced the donation of her custom 2011 Scott racing bike in cooperation with Scott USA to be auctioned for the Challenged Athletes Foundation’s New York, N.Y. Gala and fundraiser to be held at the Waldorf Astoria June Eighth. The Ironman Coeur D’Alene record-holder’s rig, valued at $10,000, was custom made for the Missoula-based Corbin by the Sun Valley, Idaho company and is one of two such models in existence.

ITU to recognise TriStar race distances

Vancouver, Canada (31 May 2011) - The International Triathlon Union (ITU) today announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Star Production SARL to officially recognise the distances of the TriStar series events into the ITU rules. The TriStar races are made up of a 1km swim, 100km bike, 10km run and also a 2km swim, 200km bike, 20km run.

Fuji's Matt Reed wins Rev3 Knoxville, Andy Potts wins the Rhoto Iron Man 70.3 Florida

Matt Reed won Rev3 Knoxville with a time of 1:48:53, winning by a 9 -second margin.

Kestrel's Cam Dye, who won the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in April, had him beat in the swim and on the bike on his Kestrel 4000, but Matt turned on the jets in the final mile of the run.

"Matty Reed defends his Rev3 Knoxville crown aboard his Fuji D-6, winning the race for the second year in a row. Reed is back showing his dominant short-course form from 2009," said Fuji Marketing Manager Chris Mesigian.

"Cam Dye let Matt Reed win," joked Kestrel Brand Manager Steve Harad.
