COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - This fall Chris Carmichael brings his ability to help weekend warriors make the impossible possible to TV. As host of "Me vs. Me", Carmichael introduces a cross-section of passionately active people striving to transform themselves into legitimate sportsmen and -women. Over 13 episodes, a regular Joe or Jane is matched up with a world-class expert in the field, and then cameras follow each individual as they hop on a fast-track to achieving their high-octane dreams.
Each half-hour program features a different activity such as whitewater kayaking, water skiing, golf, windsurfing, tennis, sailing, and scuba diving. Armed with his experience coaching Tour-de-France Champion Lance Armstrong, Carmichael himself coaches one lucky guy from his previous incarnation as a gasping wannabe pedal-pusher struggling up a Rocky Mountain road into a high-performance cyclist who can motor up any mountain.
Carmichael's role on "Me vs. Me", complements his personal mission to guide people of all abilities to achieve their best in sport and in life. His message and his approach is touched on in this Fine Living TV Network series and detailed in his upcoming book, 5 Essentials for a Winning Life: The Nutrition, Fitness, And Life Plan for Discovering the Champion Within (Rodale Books).
"Me vs. Me", premieres in prime time, on Sunday, October 8th at 8 P.M. ET/PT. Beginning October 19th, the program moves to its regular prime-time period, Thursday and Fridays at 10 P.M. ET/PT. Currently, Fine Living TV is distributed to more than 37.5 million homes in the United States.
