Changing the Face of Athletic Fashion... One Skirt at a Time
SkirtSports launches new program to get women into skirts and out of shorts
SkirtSports Inc., the pink-powered company that pioneered the fitness skirt movement, is changing the landscape of athletic wear for women one skirt at a time with its inspired new program-Convert to Skirt! The program is simple: Women, send us your tired, your poor, your just plain ugly pairs of running shorts to SkirtSports HQ and receive a mega discount on a sassy, powerful new fitness skirt that'll take your fitness apparel from drab to fab. For each pair of shorts that SkirtSports receives, the company is donating $1 to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign. SkirtSports believes there are enough pairs of running shorts in the world in dire need of retiring that it has set a goal of raising $30,000 toward this fantastic cause.
Our New Year's fitness fashion injection offer is as easy as pie. Women (or their fellas) can go directly to the SkirtSports Web site (www.skirtsports.com) where they'll find a link to Convert to Skirt with a downloadable form to fill out and send in along with those ratty old shorts and BOOM-a Skirt Convert is made!
SkirtSports was founded to create high-performing technical wear that flatters and inspires women. Women can be fit AND feminine and no piece of apparel on the market today speaks to that better than the TRIKS line by SkirtSports. Designed by women for women, SkirtSports continues to break new ground in the women's athletic apparel market. Women participating in the Convert to Skirt program can choose from the fashionably fast MarathonGirl, comfy GymGirl, or the cycling-essential BikeGirl.
SkirtSports Inc. is the brilliant creation of professional athlete Nicole DeBoom, who while out on a training run one day in 2003 said to herself, "Why can't I feel like an athlete and a woman? Why must I wear these terrible shorts?" Thus, SkirtSports was born. Infused with its signature pink, or "smooch," and versatile enough to wear from the gym to the grocery store, the success of SkirtSports has shown that women appreciate a top-of-the-line fitness piece that also makes them look-and feel-fabulous.
