SkirtSports Named Official Fashion Sponsor of 2006 Boston Marathon

SkirtSports Inc. has been named the official sponsor of the 2006 Boston Marathon Fashion Show, a runway showing of the hottest trends in running apparel, which will be produced multiple times throughout the 2-day marathon expo (Sat. & Sun., April 15-16).

SkirtSports Inc. will use the Boston stage to debut its spring 2006 line. In 2005 the TRIKS (skirt spelled backwards) line focused on perfecting its core product of skirts, skirts, skirts. This year, the fitness skirt specialists are branching out with hot new colors (with cocktail-inspired names) a running DRESS, a bike skirt, fitness bras, matching bike jerseys and fitness tees, along with socks, earrings and coolmax visors.

SkirtSports Inc. was launched last year by Ironman champion Nicole DeBoom, who designed then manufactured her pink-based line of highly technical and oh-so-flattering fitness skirts.

Just as the Boston Marathon is considered to be the most prestigious of all marathons, the legendary Boston Marathon Expo is even more celebrated for its crowds, innovative gear and heightened energy of the runners and their supporters. Head Skirt DeBoom will run the Boston marathon in her running dress, the MarathonDress. “I know this sounds like I’m a sissy, but I’m more excited about planning my race outfit then I am about the training I need to start doing. When I hit mile 20, hopefully my cute dress will distract people (including me!) from the pain on my face!” DeBoom said.
