(Henderson, Nev.) August 15, 2006 - The Nevada Silverman Triathlon is excited to announce that Whole Foods Market has signed on as an official sponsor for the 2006 race. Whole Foods Market opened its doors on April 5, 2006 in Phase 2 of the District at Green Valley Ranch, with the Silverman racecourse being so close to the market; both parties knew it would be a natural fit. Whole Foods Market will be supplying the race with all of the fruit for the athletes.
"During our 2005 race, while Whole Foods was under construction, we had an overwhelming amount of interest from our athletes as well as spectators on when the store would open its doors. When the store opened in April, we knew they would be a great addition to our team for 2006, said Silverman Race Director, Frank Lowery. "We are thrilled to have them on board."
