LORI BOWDEN BACK IN ACTION
Two-Time Ironman Triathlon World Champion, Lori Bowden, is back to competition following the September birth of her son, Tyson. Last weekend, Lori capped four consecutive weeks of racing with a second place finish at the Canadian Long Distance Championships in her hometown of Victoria, B.C. "I'm encouraged” said Bowden. "I'm swimming better than ever, my running is strong, and I just need to log more miles on my bike". Lori's four week span of races included 4 mile and half marathon running races and a second place finish at the Oliver Half Ironman Triathlon.

Lori's first major test in her build up for Ironman Kona will be Ironman Austria on July 16th.

MCGLONE 3RD AT MUSKOKA CHASE TRIATHLON
Sam McGlone finished third overall (second women) at the Muskoka Chase Triathlon, the Canadian version of the Battle of the Sexes. In this format, the men started 18 minutes after the women. Sam was caught by men's winner Simon Whitfield with 1km to go but took pride in the fact that she worked him hard enough to put him in the medical tent for an IV drip. Unfortunately, she landed up on the adjoining cot.

Sam's next race is Canadian National Championships on July 2nd near Toronto.
