The Pittsburgh Urban Race Extreme (PURE) will be a 2 hour Televised Event on UPN TV, & most likely be released on other cable networks as well. The PURE races are produced in conjunction with the Venture Outdoor Festival on Pittsburgh's beautiful north shore. Adventure Sports Magazine are one of the race sponsors & will be at the festival. A $4,000.00 cash purse is guaranteed & we are hoping the purse will increase as the race grows closer. All competitors will receive a custom cycling jersey. Only 3 person teams will be allowed to attempt this challenging 70 mile race course or the 22 mile sprint course. The post race party will be held Saturday night at the historical Penn Brewery.

American Adventure Sports has just received a $40,000.00 grant to produce the Pennsylvania Wildman Outdoor Festival & 2 Day Stage Adventure Race in Williamsport Pennsylvania on September 24th & 25th. 2 person teams will compete over 2 days for a minimum guaranteed $10,000.00 prize purse. Both coed $6,000.00 & male teams $4,000.00 will compete for both stage & overall prize purses. Our goal is to exceed 10 all female teams & 10 masters teams so that they will be competing for a prize purse as well. We expect to televise this event on a national cable network. Again athletes will be able to purchase a DVD of the race & the Saturday night chicken & pasta 1st stage awards dinner is included in the race entry fee.
