K·SWISS TRIATHLETES TOP THE PODIUM AT IRONMAN 70.3 HAWAII

Westlake Village , CA ) June 2, 2009 - Iconic footwear and sportswear brand K•Swiss is proud to congratulate 11-time Ironman champ Belinda Granger on her win this past weekend at the Ironman 70.3 Hawaii. K•Swiss athletes Chris Lieto and Luke McKenzie also garnered respective podium finishes in second and third place.

Sunny skies and high temperatures set the scene for the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and 13.1 mile run through the Kohala Coast in Hawaii. Granger came out of the water second behind hometown favorite and K•Swiss athlete Bree Wee, but scorched the bike course in 2:27:18. Granger then took off onto the run course and never looking back, finished the day in 4:33:16.

In the men’s course, McKenzie came out of the water second, and Lieto pushed to a strong bike lead recording the fastest bike split of the day of 2:10:08. In the end, Craig Alexander steamrolled the run course in 1:17:12, blazing across the finish in 4:02:52. Lieto held on for second place in 4:05:34 and McKenzie posted the second best run of the day, 1:26:26 and finished third in 4:11:58.
