Vista, CA, February 20, 2008 – Zoot Sports, a leader in multisport apparel, footwear and wetsuits is excited to announce the members of the 2008 Zoot ULTRA Triathlon Team. Together with Team Sports Inc., Zoot Sports formed the team in 2006 to showcase its innovative line of apparel and wetsuits and to support pro and amateur endurance athletes and the sports in which they compete.

In the team’s second season, the Zoot Sports ULTRA Triathlon Team claimed more than 40 Top Ten Finishes, 15 First Place Wins, 12 Age Group Wins and 20 Top Three Finishes. “The Zoot Team had an incredibly successful second season,” said Elisette Carlson, Zoot Sports Director of Marketing. “We worked hard to find athletes who represent the best of our sport and who would be strong ambassadors for the sponsors and our Team. Our athletes posted some amazing results and we look forward to topping this in 2008.”

The Zoot Sports ULTRA Triathlon Team is comprised of a mixture of professional and amateur athletes throughout the United States. The team was comprised of 32 athletes in ’07 and has continued with that number of athletes for 2008.

Zoot Sports will provide all team members with a custom sublimated ULTRA Tri Tank and ULTRA Tri Short, along with a Zoot Z-Pack Training Bag packed with the latest training gear and accessories. The 2008 Zoot Sports Triathlon Team makes it debut at Ironman CA 70.3 on March 29th in Oceanside, CA.

Supporting sponsors for the 2008 season include Scott – High Performance Triathlon Bicycles, Suunto – precision athletic performance monitors, Zipp – Aerodynamic race wheels and GU – food, health and energy products. All Zoot Sports athletes will ride Scott Plasma framesets, wear the latest in Suunto technology, and race with Zipp wheels.
