(Worthington, Ohio) Triathlon One O One has named Doug Grout as national race director for its North American series, which includes events in Bradenton, FL, Clear Lake, CA, Halifax, Nova Scotia and the championship in The Woodlands, TX. Grout will be responsible for overseeing logistics and overall standards for the series. Prior to taking on this new role within the company, Grout was integral part of the management team serving as the communications director for the Triathlon One O One event in Bradenton and race director of the Triathlon One O One event in Clear Lake, CA.

Grout brings a strong blend of technical and event management know-how stemming from his more than 15 years of event management experience with AOL/CompuServe. As head of event management, Grout was responsible for executing more than 26 national and international large-scale trade shows per year, including the Whitbread Around the World sailing race in 1998. A veteran triathlete and marathon runner, Grout also owns Run Wild Racing, an event management and chip timing company based in Columbus, OH. Under Grout’s direction, Run Wild Racing has been responsible for a majority of the technology and architecture of the Triathlon One O One platform, including the live webcams and live results at this year’s Triathlon One O One events.
