(Worthington, Ohio) Triathlon One O One announces the postponement of the 2007 Triathlon One O One event in Halifax, Nova Scotia originally scheduled for Sept 2. The event will now be held on Sunday Aug. 31, 2008, with the full support of Triathlon Nova Scotia and Events Halifax!, key Triathlon One O One partners since the series was announced. Both Triathlon Nova Scotia and Events Halifax! have committed to hosting the Triathlon One O One event through 2009. The postponement comes as a result of the recent resignation of the local race director.

“After weighing the options with the local officials and our partners in Halifax, we feel it was in the best interest of the participants and the Halifax community to postpone the event,” said Doug Grout, race director for the Triathlon One O One series. “We are looking forward to a great event in 2008 and the continued support of the community and race committee in Halifax.”

Athletes registered for the 2007 Triathlon One O One Halifax can request a 100 percent refund of their entry fee, receive a $100 gift certificate for use at any future Triathlon One O One event, or they may transfer their entry to another Triathlon One O One event.

The 2007 Triathlon One O One series will wrap with the championship event being held on November 11 in The Woodlands, TX. The championship event will feature age group and professional athletes, as well as a $150,000 professional prize purse.
