Pros:
Staff knowledge and commitment
Cons:
Not the place for the beginner to go, only for the serious/competitive age grouper and above.

If you want the best gear and the smartest and most committed staff, go to Nytro...you will get what you pay for. They stand by their product, their knowledge and their sport. Props to these guys for supporting the military as well, both in word and in deed.

I live in the San Diego area and had never been to Nytro before. I must say that I was hestiant after reading some of the reviews. I figured the only way I would really find out what it was like was by going myself. I went in there to look at buying a new bike and some goggles. From the second I stepped into the store I was greeted. I looked around for a couple of minutes then a salesperson came up and pointed me in the right direction for goggles, and then brought out another guy to help me finding a bike. The guy helped me find a bike in my price range even though he knew I was not ready to buy a bike just yet. Being new to the area he even pointed me in the right direction on going bike rides and other ways to get the bike even cheaper. All in all I had a good experience, another thing to note is that I went on a Tuesday around 3 pm, so that could be another reason, not that many people were in there but there were people in there buying bikes. I liked my experience and would defiently go back again.

I was so excited my first time visiting Nytro it was my first time visiting a REAL tri store. Boy was I disappointed. Unless you were an IronMan world Champ they treated you like a second rate citizen. That first vivist will be my last. One store I really enjoy with great customer service is Trisports.com, always a pleasure doing business with them.

Nitro Multisport is a double edged sword. They have everything under the sun when it comes to multisport equipment and knowledge. Their salesmen ar all experienced riders/racers and use many of the products they sell. Unfortunately, unless your name is Bowman or Lessing, you will be treated like s*#t from the moment you walk in the door until the time you drop your last two months salary on the counter. I am on a military tri club sponsored by Nytro and they still treat me poorly when I go into the store. They even tried selling me used skewers as new when I bought a $2000 wheelset! Unless I'm buying a high dollar item that I want to use my team discount on, I'm going to B&L.
