I am thinking of purchasing the Speedo Unitard.

You can see it here (http://www.speedousa.com/images/catalog/e1/410X500/707488_043.jpg)

That looks nice. I have something similar in a De Soto and Zoot. They're really nice because you can wear them the whole race w/ out changing.

Bingo. And all you have to worry about is the shoes and the helmet. Still love the Unitard, but am having a tough time finding it, and the online sizing chart is just! so! wrong!

I have two zoot one piece tri suits and they have costs and benefits.

The obvious benefit is they provide all your clothing needs.

Like Goldilock's porridge, one piece suits are best when it is not too cold and not too hot (50-70). If you bike in a wet one piece suit in the 40s or 50s, you freeze. In real hot weather, the one piece suit holds in heat and you can't easily pull it up like you can with a shirt. So in really cold or really warm weather, I swim in speedo race tights and then toss on a dry shirt.

I also think one piece suits catch some drag in the pool. I know the manufacturers claim they have minimalized this, but it feels like they do.
I think I swim faster shaved with tights versus the one piece suit.

You know, I thought the one piecers would catch some drag. But from my timing I actually reduced my time by 1 second per 50 meters. Surprised me.

OK, so I'm curious, what are you going to do with the 30 seconds you saved over 1500 metres?

I'm not suggesting baggies here but I am wondering if comfort isn't the most important reason to choose clothing. Of course if you're already performing at world record pace 30 seconds could be difference between getting the big bucks or not. :)

When they make clothes that look good on Clydes, let me know. heh.
