I got this e-mail today from the Sandy Hookers Tri Club.
I am going to do this one.

Please help us spread the word. Please print the flyer below ( link to pdf online), and help distribute to places that might have interested people. It is a 1.2 (1 loop) or 2.4 2 loop) ironman format swim It's a great way to try the distance prior to your 1/2 ironman or ironman event. Or just come and enjoy the nice, hopefully calm swim. Water Temperature expected 68-70 degrees. Wetsuit recommended.

Here is the flyer: http://www.sandyhookers.org/discus/messages/1/navesink2006-990.pdf

Also, Wed night workouts started last night. Victory Park, Rumson, We did a 18 mile flat course, Will be doing 14-15 mile flat course next few weeks, then progress to the hills. Please promote others to join in.
Come one, come all.

Mike is looking for another night if anyone wants to try to get together.

Thanks for that post Beads. I am signing up now.

Question for you - how do you know the water will be 68-70 degrees. Last year I did a memorial day weekend swim with NYC Swim in the hudson river and the water temperature was exactly 58 degrees that day. I didnt feel my forehead during the race - or for the next 2 days

I am hoping the water is that warm.
I have a sleeveless and a full suit so I will be prepared if it is cooler. :D
