Ok my last post for the night I swear! We have a hot tub and I have always wondered about whether or not I am doing myself a disservice by soaking in it once in a while. Obviously I wouldn't do it before going to work out - usually during evening times or before bed. What does anyone know about hot tubs and training/muscles? I don't have any aches and pains during training.
Thanks -

I grew up with a couple of Kona Ironman qualifying 3-time-finishing-parents who swear by their hot-tub.
Not that that's an official endorsement of hot-tubs, but they'll never part with it.
And they'll tell you that the hot tub is the greatest invention ever, coming in a close second would be their tri-bikes. :)
I on the other hand have just discovered the ice bath. Those are sweet. So there's a balance there somewhere.
hope that helps!
happy hot-tubbing!

I soak about 3 - 4 times / week to relieve the aches and pains. It's great, but moderation is key. I've been doing it for years after being indoctrinated early on in my high school and college cross country career. They are a true god send, but I do understand that I may have to taper my usage back a bit since I'm trying to have a baby :-)
