I have searched, called and pleaded with every surf shop, dive shop, sporting good store in the southern half of my state and am unable to find a tri-wetsuit made for women in stock.....I've tried on the men's Body Glove Tri- suit- it would have fit great ..if I was a guy....and all of them must special order because they don't stock them. Understandable I know- but I would like to do an ocean swim this weekend and all I have is a 1 mil short leg, sleeveless suit by Riptide. Do I swim a 1/2 mile in 67 degree water and tough it out.....or, if I can't get a real suit, should I wait? Did I mention my great fear of anything that might " bump" a swimmer? Thanks again for all the advice so far!

You know, you are right! I just went and looked and all the major makers only make a "unisex" (ok, it's a men's) suit. I'd wait and see if any women out there can recommend a suit for you.

After calling every surf, dive and watersports store in the state, and I live in CA, I came to the conclusion that such a thing does not exist- at least not in stock. So I took the plunge and ordered on line and next day aired it. I got the Xterra Ventilator. It fits fine- the lining feels great- but it has this very strange fit accross the chest. Its very narrow in front- plenty of room for flexibility- I just hope it 'seals' alright. My sis got the same one and has a totally different body type- so we'll see how it goes Saturday. Thanks for the replies. Good luck to all the girls out there!
