A big HELLO to all who read this. I'm a 32 year old male from Sunderland, UK, and started training for triathlon in spring/summer this year. I've done 3 duathlon this year and plan to enter triathlon next year. As you can guess from that my swimming needs some work!!! So any tips on swimming speed work would be greatly appreciated as I think I've got the technique going ok (well, I'm writing this so I haven't drowned yet). I'm a Sport Science graduate and now work as a technician in sport science for Sunderland University. Which is useful for testing and training facilities. I'm having a nice couple of weeks off training at the mo' after training hard all summer and I'm looking forward to a good winter's training now before looking for a triathlon in spring to try out. If anyone out there knows of any good tri's to start out with in the UK the tip would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site and to the sport.

Seems like we're getting a lot of athletes from across the pond:)

Check out some of our articles from Kevin Koskella:

He's a swim coach from around here (northern california). I believe he has some programs available on his site as well.

good luck and happy racing and training.
