I am looking for a good weigth/strength training program for endurance sports. I am new to tri, and am just putting together my workout.

[SIZE=3] I am a bit older (57) and have completed 2 sprints and the Wildflower Olympic and am working on my condition so I will be able to do a IM next September. I have found the following books on the internet to be of great help. (1) Sportsworkout.com: The Ultimate Guide to Weight Training for Triathlon, (2) Total Immersion Book, (3) Triathlete: Complete Triathlon Book by Matt Fitzgerald, (4) Going Long by Joe Friel/Gordon Byrn and (5) Cyclists Training Bible. Hope these help you work through the workouts. I am enjoying the workouts more because I am coming at them from a better understanding of the sport and what and what not to do. Have a great time learning about yourself. I have only been doing Tri's for about 2 years and learn more each time I go out. Just be patient and have fun. Richard Cook/Clovis, California. ;)
