o.k. I believe the site moving and upgrading is pretty much complete. There may be some minor hiccups here and there as you may get pointed to the old server occasionally. That should resolve itself by Tomorrow I believe.

Other issue is the logs are currently down due to some database access issues. I have a ticket into the new host and hope to here back from them soon.

Other than that I think everything is working properly. The site seems faster to me, so hopefully this will be a good new home for us.

Please post any issues you come across in this thread and I'll try to track them down.

Hi, Tribro. Two things I've noticed. First, when I go to the home page, usuallly it mentions how many unread postings there are and I can go to a list of all of them. Now I need to click through each individual forum and see what I've missed in the preceding hours. Second, I just tried to post to a thread. When I hit "post" it came up with a screen reading "Bad Request". But when I went to check on the thread, my comment had indeed posted.

Sorry to point out problems, but thought you'd like to know.

Thanks for the feedback. On the newposts link, it's should still be on the home page but I moved it, sorry. It is now at the top of the right column. Should say Welcome, Tamara and then Log Out, Profile, New Posts (X). If you're logged in, if not they'll be a Sign Up or sign in message. Let me know if you don't see that. In the section above the banner ads.

Also there is a New Posts and Mark Read links in the forum section itself. At the top of this forum section, but below the welcome message and private messages stuff is a row of black text links. Right about the middle is the new posts link which will save you time from going forum to forum. You can also click 'mark read' which clears the new posts.

On the bad request, I'll have to look into that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Couple updates,

The logs are back up and running properly. If you already had an account you probably didn't have any issues. There was an issue in creating new accounts. That has been resolved. You just need to Log In using the link on the logs homepage and it'll auto create and account, or log you into your account if it already exists.

Othe rhting is some of your avatars got broken on the transfer. Not sure why some made it and some didn't. If you don't see yours by you posts then you may have to go into your profile to re-upload. Sorry.

Hey tribro -- I noticed something today and I'm not sure if it's just me or a bug related to the site update.

When I enter the basic "Forums" page and click the name of any thread in the "Last Post" column, I get an error message saying the page cannot be found. If I actually enter the specific sub-forum, I can access the thread. Anyone else having this issue?

Tribro--

I'm still getting an error message when I try to post. The post goes up but I get a server not found type of message and have to back out to the forums page and start again. Is there something I'm doing that's causing this?

BTW - Got the socks and stickers yesterday, very cool. Thanks

No nothing on your end. Something with the mysql database. I've contacted the host and they are working on a fix. I'll try to keep an eye on it as well, but please do let me know if it continues. I think it's happening more during the heavy traffic times of the day.

I've gotten it everytime I've posted for a week or so probably. But that's the only time, everything else is working fine for me.

I get the page not found message, and if I hit refresh I get a Trifuel screen with an invalid thread message.

But all the posts go up fine.

Hello Tribro...
Same here...for some reason when I post, first it gives me the "page not found" message...then I go back...and do it again...and gives me de message that it is a duplicate of the previous post... but I have never seen a duplicate post of mine in the last week....
And other little thing...my avatar is not there anymore...maybe is my computer.....?

On the Avatar, for some reason a few of the avatars didn't make it over correctly. You may have to just re-upload it.

One more question. Is it when you use the "Post Reply" button or when you use the "Quick Reply" form at the bottom of the threads? Or both?

I get it using the post button at the bottom. Haven't tried it with the quick reply, but I'll do that.
Tried the quick reply with the message below and that seems to work fine.

The first error is the typical page not found error. After hitting refresh I get this:

I can't seem to get it to replicate on my end. Are all of you using IE as the browser?

I can't tell if it's a forums software issue or server issue. I put in a ticket to my host so hopefully they can replicate and pinpoint the cause. thanks for your help in identifying this.

we'll see. sounds like some of you are seeing it everytime, while I haven't been able to get it to work (or not work) yet. I think it's a server issue and IE 6 browser? Maybe they're working on the server setting now. fingers crossed.

One other thing I have noticed if I go to the General Forums page and just click on the "most recent" post on the right, I get the "page cannot be found" --I have to go into say "General Discussions" and then to that post.

Sorry gang, try this URL again if you have the IE 6.0 problem and let me know if it works. Trying to determine if it's maybe a template issue.
