New here!

Hi! I just found these boards and wished I'd found them sooner!
Started mountain biking regularly a year ago. Decided to try a mini triathalon, now I know it's called a sprint tri! Did great on the bike/run legs; barely survived the swim leg.
Then did a 8 3/4 mile run in Humboldt County...improved on my running time.
Then did my second tri; a little better on the swimming, but discovered how much harder open water swimming really is. Bike leg went great, 5 mile run was TOUGH!
Then onto a mini adventure race in waay northern CA! Ok, now those are just as much fun as tri's! Competing as a team was great fun! Mountain biking, trail running/hiking and kayaking...what a rush!

I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush I get from these sports. Only wish I'd started all this BEFORE I had my twin girls (2+ yrs old).
I'm realizing that most tri's appear to be road rides, vs. mountain biking, or what I call off-road tri's. And I'm not finding many off-road tri's out there. There are 3 in my area, but they may not be around after this year.
I don't have a road bike and haven't gotten into road riding, as I'm hooked on the thrill of mountain biking. I know I could get different tires (slicks?) for my mtn bike to use for a road race?

Great boards-thanks for hosting these tribro!

Sarah
