Ah I had that feeling before and I must say, it is really hard to get out of it. To help reduce and eventually remove that problem, I listen to motivational tapes for a few days until 1-2 hours before the race starts.
Sounds like a digestive issue from something you ate the night before...look forward to the article. Way to "GUT IT OUT"... literally!
Coke! It rocks! Especially since it was probably made with real sugar and not HFCS. (Common in Europe, but not here)
