I live in a 3 bedroom apartment and have limited space to keep my gear. My wife doesn't like my cycling bib, running shorts, etc. hanging out to dry everywhere. (I wear them 2-3 times before washing them, is that bad?) Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone has a good idea on how to organize it all where it's out of the way but still easy to access... I miss my garage...

Yes, wearing them 2-3 times
Yes, wearing them 2-3 times before washing is bad. There's stuff on there that needs killed with soap before it touches your skin again.
What works for me is to put everything in bins that look like milk crates on a shelf. Nothing else is allowed on that shelf. Just water bottles, nutrition, common tools, lights and chargers, visors, helmet, etc... Each item has an assigned bin.
if you don't have enough
if you don't have enough gear to wait for a (presumbably) weekly washing in the machine, take your stuff with you into the shower and wash them by hand.
the hanging to dry part is still an issue, but, maybe not as bad as before, since now it doesn't reek! ;p
I have a standalone shelf
I have a standalone shelf with a cloth covering, I think the cloth is rough cotton, it goes right over the whole set of cheap wooden shelves and the front is an opening that can roll up and tie at the top. I have running clothes on one shelf, bike on another swim gear on another and weights and tools on the bottom, when I am not using it I just let the cloth door drop down and it's all hidden. +1 to use once wash once, no one smells so good to use 3 times wash once, no one... ....
Warrior - that's what I'm
Warrior - that's what I'm going with. I was able to re-organise a closet to fit cheap plastic shelves in... Also, I forgot to mention that I take a shower before I workout, it's odd but I feel more ready to go after a shower.
tri-ac - that's a great fix to my problem, just wash them in the shower... it's so obvious that I never even thought about it...
Thanks all!!!
I have 3 square boxes. One
I have 3 square boxes. One for swim, one for bike, one for run. It was my friends idea and it works a treat as I now know where everything is at all times!
