Way to go V. Johnson!

Amazing Performance at Lake Placid! I am in awe!

meh, he still got beat by four pros and only beat the female pro winner by 14 minutes.
shockingly fast and consistent. thanks for helping us all, and showing us how it's done.

Are you kidding me. Amazing Race VJ! I guess it goes without saying that you got that slot.

Not sure what others think, but I think Vinny is doing something right.

Wow. Incredible performance. Nice work!

Ya think? ;)

I must say that Vinny's performance at IMLP truly impressed the heck out of me. I love it when years of consistent thoughtful hardwork paired with a terrific athlete lead to amazing results. Although I've never met (and don't really know) Vinny, I feel closer to his success for having read so many of his posts here.

Congrats, Vinny. Well done.

Richard

Yay! Now I will know two people in the Kona race. Congratulations that is awesome.

Wowzers! Awesome to see all that hard work pay off!!

Thanks all!!! Still in shock.....

Will you know your race number before the race?
Thanks all!!! Still in shock.....
Wow... and he's humble, too!
Way to go, VJ - very happy for you.

Tell us: what's been your biggest celebratory indulgence since the weekend?!

I declined my Kona slot. Too many variables that are in play right now in my life, to have made Kona the experience I would want it to be. Just knew I wouldn't be able to pull it off this year. Plus, paying it forward never hurts... I made someone's Monday afternoon pretty cool.

@ snail mail, I haven't stopped eating KFC. I don't think I'm sweating liquid anymore, it is just pure oil

Vinny,

Do you have a race report that you are willing to share?

Richard

Having to decline your Kona spot must have been difficult. I have to tell you I really respect you for making a choice like that. I know that may sound strange, but making the "right" choice in a situation like that is not easy. Even when you know it what you have to do, it is still not easy.

Vinny,

Excellent result and a massive improvement, shame about Kona, hopefully you can qualify again.

Vinny, you are a machine! Well done - Pitty about Kona!
