Had to post this as today, I finally broke one minute for a one kilometer split, which just made me smile like the Cheshire cat. Now I have to say it was down hill (No surprise there) but I averaged 37.4 mph with a max of 41.2, Power only 219 but I couldn't peddle any faster as I had ran out of gears. Its only taken me 5 Years to do this and have been close many times but never gone under that 1 minute. If only I could keep that up for 40 km.

Awesome! I don't think I have ever timed myself over 1 km. One of my bike routes has a really steep hill and it takes up a big part of 1 km. I think I hit 60 km/hr down it once, I will have to time it next time I am out.
Looked back a few weeks and
Looked back a few weeks and found a 1:14 and 1:17, but I don't think anything approaches 60k/hr for a full 1k. If I do any 1k repeats, I'll be sure to update everyone. Sounds like a good goal to aim for.

This was not something planned and was on a good downhill, my Garmin always gives the splits for each km and I only noticed and it after the ride that I saw it. The next KM was 3 seconds over, which just goes to show how good a hill it was.
Yesterday on the TDF the
Yesterday on the TDF the 195th kilometer of 197 was timed at 53 seconds for the Peleton, and they were on the flat. That certainly makes me feel humble, human, mere mortal, wow is all I can say to that.
