Well so much for the philosophy of tapering I suppose. Great thing about this guy incredible accomplishment is that his marathons weren't those 5-6 hour variety. Each was 3.5-4 hours and his last marathon (100th) was a stunning 3:09!

He tried to run across Canada on only one leg, in order to raise money for Cancer. He ran over 5000K and didn't make it because the cancer has spread in his body and he died. There are still runs that raise money in his name for cancer.
