Stomach Cramping

Ok I haven't been on in awhile just been to busy. I have a little bit of an issues. I have been a swimmer my entire life, lately when i swim post swim I get a lot of stomach cramping.

To describe it a bit better, have you ever had hunger stomach cramps? Like passed the growling stage and it just cramps ups? Now I know people will say just eat, that's the problem I am eating a ton. Pre swim workout i eat a banana or 2 with a Honey stinger waffle or something. Post swim I make sure to eat plenty, like yesterday I had a footlong subway veggie sub. around 2:00 cramps.

Now I can run on an empty stomach no cramps, bike empty no cramps.... Just when i swim.

Any Ideas?

Maybe not your issue since you're an experienced swimmer, but last year I had stomach cramps during and after swimming which was due to "eating" too much air during my longer swim workouts. Gas-x solved the short term cramp issue...focusing more on being relaxed in the water has solved the issue long term.

maybe dont eat before your swim and only eat after. +1 to eating air while swimming. i do that and if i dont burp enough i will get stomache cramps.

Its normal according to me one should not eat before swimming eating after swimming is a better option.
