I have always been fairly healthy and have been able to enjoy triathlon and marathon training for the past 13 years or so. This all began to change about this time last year when I began to be plagued with sinusitis issues and general fatigue. I was still able to train, and raced with good results until August when the fatigue became much worse. I had a physical and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I have been on Synthroid since then and have kept the thyroid in check. I am still having sinus and slight fatige/tiredness when the old sinusus flare up. Anyway, I've been reading quite a bit about Gluten Intolerance, and it seems that some studies have linked this condition to thyroid and sinus problems. My allergist suggested that I try a Gluten free diet for a while to see if that makes any difference. I'm willing to give it a try, but wanted to see if anyone out there in Trifuel Land had any experiences with this type of diet.
