Shiv S-Works or Argon 18 E118?

http://roadtoironmandaddy.blogspot.com/2011/12/argon-18-e118-or-shiv-s-w...

I cannot decide which one to go with for next year! I have two videos of both on the link above. Please let me have your thoughts.

Thanks

Shiv! It's just darn cool. The Argon is nice too, though.

Being a Specialized man myself, I'm going to say Argon based on those videos. I think putting your water bottle in the frame is silly and too far unless racing is how you pay to feed yourself. Furthermore the Shiv is and always has been ugly... very ugly. That's just my $0.02.

I'm glad to see such radical changes in TT bikes though. That means in about 2 more years when I'm looking to pick up something a little more traditional it will be dirt cheap and still be more equipment than I need. :) At a certain point having the most optimum frame is just not as important as being able to sit on it and crank like a madman/woman. In other words, take the difference in cost of having someone put your water bottle inside your frame and invest it in better food, someone to cut your lawn so you can go for another ride, a massage to help you relax, or another date with your taper partner and you'll be faster on race day by virtue of not being as strung out. Assuming that both bikes fit well. :)

whatever feels better

Based on the videos, I'd go with the Argon. I also think the water bottle in the frame is a little iffy. Can we assume that there is a way of removing it for cleaning? Are prices pretty similar between the two?

I'd say the Argon... Here are my thoughts on not getting the Shiv. With the integrated water bottle frame how are you ever to know how much water you have left? Point 2, how do you clean the integrated water bottle. I've had camel packs that get tons of mold in them in a matter of a few weeks.

Hey, off topic... I didn't add a link in my post for "water bottle". It was added for me. What's up with that? Tribro?

As an avid Specialized fan, and owner of all both a Specialized Transition Pro (2010) and Specialized Transition Expert (2007), I can guarantee that you would love the Shiv. I can't wait to upgrade myself!

I just bought the E-118. Thanks for the comments guys!

knowing specialized to be a well established bike company with top riders in triathlon and other aspects of cycling the Shiv Sworks would be the best choice of the two
