I always like to find inspiration from different sources and got a huge one this year.
If you get the chance look up the story of Jordan Rapp and his horific accident that he was hit on his bike and left for dead. If it wasn't for a military passer buy who basically held his neck together he would be dead. I Met Jordan at Ironman Canada (which he won) and just last week won the ITU championship long course.
He's an amazing, humble guy. I sent him a congratulations note after his last victory and he took the time to reply.
What an inspiration to our sport.
I'll never complain about a training boo boo ever again.
I have been battling
I have been battling stubborn plantar fasciitis from overtraining (my own fault). I started to complain to my wife about my boo boo, thought of Rapp, and shut my mouth. Although I've never met Rapp personally, everything that I've read and heard suggests that he's an excellent role model.
