Gator's new training bike

I got sick of watching my portfolio shrink faster than I could put money into it, so I did something more fun this month with my "savings"...TA-DA:

Many of the parts are brought over from my last bike. The frame was bought used on ebay (only a few months old = 65% discount!). I tried to buy as few new parts as possible, but the ones that had to be replaced will be back up on ebay soon to recoup some cost. And someone will eventually be the proud owner of a new (give or take 5 or 6 years) Ridley road frame in the spring when prices go back up. :)

I hate you.
;)

We should head out for a ride. Your lack of tire pressure should compensate for my lack of fitness and equalize us nicely.

That does look like more fun than watching "invested" money go away.

Nice bike . . . I wish that I'd invested in bikes instead of a house in 2005 . . . it would have been a better investment and a heck of a lot more fun. :)

Perhaps you should become an investment advisor. :)

Deal. We'll do a brick. You get to wear clown shoes on the run, though. Should equalize us nicely.

Really cool...I'm sure your "investment" will pay off in faster times!

It's on. You coming out West, am I heading East, or, god forbid, are we meeting somewhere in the middle like Oklahoma?

Okay...not exactly Oklahoma but I am more than happy to host a show-down in Nebraska!

+1...

Christmas will be a good excuse to blow tons of money on new equipment vs. investing....

Bad ass ride.....I'm thinking you should become philanthropic and donate that bike to my training program! ;)
