WDYDT?

I did a nice 61k bike out to the lake and back, with a 15 minute swim at the halfway mark to refresh myself. No flats, and no crashes this time!

Not a cloud in the sky, a week after IMC, Labour Day Long w/e and all. This is what life is supposed to be like.

Did about 17 miles on the bike before I determined.. yes, I really am sick and it's okay to stop.
ran errands the rest of the day.

Aww.. get well soon! Now is the time to remind yourself that you get stronger & faster while you are resting, not while you are training.

90 mile ride, most of it with the temps in the mid 70's. 30 of it with a good friend.
10 minutes of core and light stretching.
Coached my 6 year-old son's soccer team.
Ate some incredible sushi.
Drank some really nice Malbec with my neighbor/friend.
Life is good.

Rode 100. Did some odds and ends around the house. We had a friend over for dinner and opened a nice Torrontes from Argentina.

I wasn't allowed to do anything:-( Direct orders from the boss. We celebrated our aniversary. So before she climed out of bed I swam a quick 1800 :-) and then we did the Grouse Grind to celebrate (http://www.grousemountain.com/grousegrind), her idea.

I drank my weight in martinis.

Went for a nice, tendonitis free, 18 mile run and then went to the swimming hole and swam 2.2 miles. It started to fill up with kids everywhere, so I decided to let them have their fun and x the last couple of laps. Relaxed the rest of the day and watched college football.

Malbec (just shy of a century, but good all the same), Torrontes (nice Century Anton), martinis, all good, I had some nice Merlot with a spicy spaghetti Bolognese.
Happy Anniversary, BBB!

PJ, that was a helluva w/o, glad you are in no tendon pain right now.

recovery ride yesterday 1hr. Have no clue how far, prob. around 22 miles.

Today 8 mile run. starting to feel a tad more normal.

I was feeling great day after ironman, feet were sore though.
Since race I've already done 2 40km rides. An 1hr 15 minute run and just finished a 2nd run. I have an olympic distance next Saturday. I thank my body for a days rest and ready to train.

jarhead, ol' buddy, 22mph is NOT a recovery ride!
Dial it back a bit. see Mark Allen on Race Recovery

Nice, Warren, your season isn't over yet.

My first ride today with my usual group since the hernia surgery. I hoped for 30, it turned into 53. I hung tough for the first thirty, then fell off the back.

Oh well. Back in the saddle. That is what counts.

riding the trails for 45k on my mountain bike. 3 hours of fun and mud. it has rained most of the week and i was up for my third bike wash.

I ran 12.2 miles. Did the first 2.7, went inside. Caught a bug, did the next 9.5... Felt good, but it turned to dark for me to see the road... Darn

Yesterday 3 mi run
Today 40+mi hilly ride & 2hrs at the pool with my son
Tonight shrimp boil & a pony keg with friends
Tomorrow hike to a waterfall up on mt hood
:)

Ran 22 minutes yesterday with a knee support, ......bad idea. More waiting.
Rode 33 km this morning to work, warm sunny, will do the return trip this evening..

Looks like everyone is having a very productive Labor Day weekend! Sorry, Warrior--its hard to deal with injuries. Tri-ac, that mt. Hood hike sounds like a lot of fun.

Totally awesome weekend. Hung out with chekmarks and friends Friday night / 10mi hike on Saturday with waterfalls, mountain lakes, and views of high peaks and miles of flat valley. Another night of camping then Breck Crest Half Mary for me on Sunday (4k of climbing, 4mi of it is above treeline and spectacular). Sore as hell today, but I headed out to cheer on some friends and pass out water at mile ~22 in a local marathon.

Gorgeous weekend at Waldo Lake, my favorite place in the world. 100 foot visibility and a very swimmable 62 degrees this year. Did three lake swims and a 24 mile solo trail run around the lake through mostly wilderness area. Hubby supported me with nutrition/hydration while mountain biking. AWESOME! I'm downloading my photos tonight for a blog post.
