Second, I have a few extra days in my travel plans,lots of gear and will be in n. Cal and s. OR. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good if not great open water swimming? Bonus points if someone wants to go with me. Happy Friday, time to mail fathers day presents.

I coach a Masters group that
I coach a Masters group that goes to Fall Creek Reservoir (near Eugene) every Saturday morning. It's nice swimming and a great group of people. When will you be here?
Sadly, I cannot swim with you as I broke my arm (yes again, same arm) on Thursday.

They are usually at the lake at 7:00 am. I'll email and ask what they have planned for this weekend.
If you don't want to come that far north, Applegate Lake in Southern Oregon is where they'll be holding the 5k and 10k Masters championships in July. It's near Medford, and my mom kayaked there last weekend and said the water quality was great.
