What events are you currently training for?

We have started a new coaching company focusing on offering affordable training plans and was keen to see what you are all training for this year?

I look forward to hearing from you and give us a shout if we can help with your training.

Well I am probably not a good sample to use from this forum because my focus is short course triathlons. But this is what I am training for:

2 5Ks
1 supersprint.
2 sprints.
1 Olympic (maybe)

Upcoming season in chronological order:

1 half-marathon
1 half-Ironman
2 Olympics
1 Ironman-distance

My certain and anticipated events in chronological order this season:
Summer Open Sprint (May/ Longmont, CO)
Bolder Boulder 10K (May/ Boulder, CO)
Greeley Triathlon Sprint (June/ Greeley, CO)
Creek Streak Olympic (July/ Denver, CO)
Rattlesnake Olympic (August/ Aurora, CO)
2.4 Swim (September, Boulder, CO)
Rock n Roll Half Marathon (October, Denver, CO)

May squeeze in a 5K somewhere if I get the urge.

My sanity.

My season is pretty much fully planned at this point

Long Island Marathon (next weekend)
Mooseman 70.3 (early june)
Long Island Gold Coast Sprint (Mid june)
Providence 70.3 (mid july)
Long Island TOBAY Sprint (late august)
Toughman 70.3 (early september)
New York Marathon (Early November)
Philadelphia Marathon (Late November)

Mixed in there are about a dozen or so (total) 5ks, 10ks, 15ks, and halfmarathons.

Thinking about adding a 5.75 open water swim in August as well... so yeah, long year

+1 AT

St. Anthony's Tri (this Sunday, gulp!)
Warrior Dash (just for fun, May 14th)
PT Solutions Acworth Sprint (this was my first tri last year, so can't wait to see how I do this year, August 7th)
Beach to Battleship HIM (October 29th)
Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon

I will probably add in a few more sprints and maybe another Oly in there somewhere

It looks like my schedule is going to allow me to enter the Beach 2 Battleship Full IM this fall. I am not sure what else I will be able to do in between now and then but will try and get a couple of shorter ones in there.

Rockford Marathon 5/15/2011
Bike the Drive 5/29/2011
MS150 West Michigan 6/11/11-6/12/11
Pleasant Prairie Triathlon 6/26/2011
Lake Zurich Oly Tri 7/10/2011
Door County HIM Tri 7/16/11-7/17/11
San Francisco Marathon 7/31/2011
Grand Rapids Marathon 10/16/2011

PCT 50 mile run in two weeks!
Rock & roll SD and Vegas marathons
AFC half marathon
tri rock and SD classic olympics
mission bay sprint
Soma 70.3

Awesome.

Half Marathon- 5/1
Trail Half(14.5mi)- 5/15
Sprint- 6/xx
Oly- a couple, A race is 9/11 (tentative)
Another ultra by Christmas (tentative)
A bunch of local 5k's-10k's thrown in randomly.

The Mrs. has a Sept due date, so $ is going to other things and the later races are tentative; I guess we're training for that too...

July: 5k and 10k swims
August: Trail marathon
September: My one and only sprint triathlon!

So I still won't break my unbroken string of 25 straight years of triathlons, but I'm not really having a "season" so to speak.

FL Roc Daytona 5k Off-road Adventure Race (5/7)
Never Quit / Trident Challenge Jacksonville (5/26)
Rice & Rose Sprint Triathlon Series - Race #1 (6/25)
Rice & Rose Sprint Triathlon Series - Race #2 (7/23)
Rice & Rose Sprint Triathlon Series - Race #3 (8/6)
Great Floridian Ultra Distance Triathlon / IM (10/22)
Champ MudBash South FL Adventure Race (11/5)
Tough Mudder Florida 12 Mi Adventure Race (12/4)
Walt Disney World® Marathon (Orlando) (1/8/2012)
Gator Half Triathlon 2012 - Sarasota FL (Mid March 2012)

And a bunch of scattered 5k's per time available

I have the NJ marathon this weekend. After that there is no definite plan other than maybe a few sprint tris this summer and maybe a fall tri, and probably a few more marathons this year.

Kinda winging it as I go along though ;-)

I'll be spectating Sunday, a number of friends are racing this year.
Is there a costume involved this year?

Yes indeed. The Running Elvii will be returning to the NJ Shore!
Run sparky run and I will be dressed up in Elvis costumes. ;-)
