Better late than never - Las Vegas Interbike porn

I decided that the best report would be in pictures:
Las Vegas Interbike 2010

It's the aerowheels, they shouldn't be allowed to show them.

Ahh, this is the exact moment in the work day when I cease all pretense at being productive.

Why do I feel the need a cigarette...

I see the electric bike was a big player. I can see the Cervelo P3 design in many TT frames. I think some of the front-end, integrated stem/aero bars are getting close to being airfoils. And I think I caught a Cervelo with a one-sided seat stay?

I think that was the Quantana Roo, if i am not mistaken

Maks Tri, you're right:

Only one seat stay, hmmm. Seems it wouldn't be too good for vertical - or lateral - stiffness. Alot of power is translated through the stays. That enormous chain stay must also weigh a ton (relatively speaking). Mix that with a Cannondale Scalpel fork and now we're talking!

Craziest bike there. Must be electic:

Toned-down version of the Ceepo:

I'm looking for a trailer or hitch-mount for my motorcycle. This might work:

Kestrel should go back to "No seat tube". It doesn't look this one's even doing much.

Don't like it at all! Looks like a frame with Scoliosis:

What were you doing at InterBike? If I knew there was another TriFuel member going I would have made it a point to say Hi :)

Hey KitKat, sorry i didn't know you were there, would have been fun to meet! Next time.
I was there for business, checking out new products and making myself known, and meeting people. Talked to Emilio De Soto as always, Steve Fleck of 19, Adamo guys, lots of other small companies. I enjoy going to that expo, it's just very exciting and fun to meet and talk to lots of people in the industry and find out about the technology and ideas they have and already made a reality.

I was walking around the expo drooling, every time i left the floor i felt like i was missing something. Next year Interbike is going to be in California, sweet!

Sooner, yes the electric bikes took over the floor. Sounds like a great idea for lots of people to commute and not be dependent on oil. The only things we need to do now is make our roads safer to ride and come up with security system for bikes. Nothing to it... right...

Ahh, yes. I can't find the link now but in Slowtwitch's interbike report they an interview regarding this frame with Q-R. Their disclaimer was that this frame is totally under development and that it's one of a dozen unconventional designs that they are testing out. It was only brought to interbike to show that they were still working behind the scenes on new ideas. Still, aesthetically, I'm kind of in love with it.

Business - as is everyone! Or at least should be. They've been letting too many "outsiders" in the show in the last year or two. This is not so great for retailers but whatever.

Do you own a shop?
This was my third year and although fun I didn't see much new on the market. The timing is bad. Most of the ordering already committed by that point. Maybe next year in Anaheim will be different?

I'm excited for De Soto's L/S skin cooler jersey with ice pockets - now that was innovative!

KitKat,

Yeah i like some new items offered by De Soto, one of them is not on their site yet but it's a very nice warm long sleeve with hood and pockets shirt in black.

As to the answer to your other question i'll send you a message.
