Next Saturday is my first triathlon (sprint distance). I've done all my training, practiced transitions, read all that I can, etc. If anyone has some last minute advice (maybe something you did or didn't do for your first tri), it would be greatly appreciated!

Have fun, relax, observe and learn everything you can from the veterans, pace yourself the first few minutes on the bike so you don't wreck your race, you will get used to the way your legs feel on the run, and celebrate when you finish. Good luck.
Try to have fun,dont put
Try to have fun, dont put yourself under with performance goals. Keep that in mind every time you try a new distance. Enjoy!

1. If your sprint is in a pool and you have to count lanes rather than zig zag up the pool, its normal to lose count of the lengths that you have swam, therefore try to identify someone that you can keep pace with in your wave and when they get out go with them.
2. Don't get frustrated in transition if its not going as well as in practice, take a breath do a quick mental check, before dashing off.
3. Remember the guy/girl ahead of you on the bike is not the one that you are racing.
4. Its normal to have a lack of control over your legs after T2, stick with it.
Good Luck

Smile and enjoy! Don't be afraid to ask questions or to chat with people if you are there on your own. If you have a cheering crew, making sure to thank them and do something they appreciate later in the day.
Have a few people bring
Have a few people bring cameras. You are doing something really cool
1. Don't try anything new
1. Don't try anything new because it's race day. Wear the same clothes you've been training in, and eat the same stuff you've been training with.
2. Wear socks. It's worth it.
3. HAVE FUN!!!! I'm sure you're gonna do great, and you only get to do your first tri once, so enjoy it.
Last quarter mile or so on
Last quarter mile or so on the run, spot someone in the distance, may 100m away: "I'm passing that person." Quietly approach, then hammer the last .1 mile. This goes double if you can find someone in your AG. And whatever you do, do *not* be the person that someone else targeted and get passed in the last .1 mile.
Thanks for the suggestions
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I will definitely keep them in mind!
