Congrats! Tremendous accomplishment.
You were running literally in my back yard. We have trail hook ups from my back acreage.
I've done some baby ultras (50K's) and really have a hard time trying to wrap my head around that distance. Great job.

Thanks everyone! Wow, that was CRAZY!!!

And RV, that area is absolutely beautiful...lucky you!

Can't ever imagine doing myself...looooong

Thanks again everyone! I'm still psyched about it...and I must be insane because I'm already wondering where my next one will be. HA!

I always wondered what it would be like to run in the dark while I'm flipped out from exhaustion. Do you start getting paranoid or see things? I know you got emotional but were there any really wierd moments?

congratulations Star! That is an AMAZING accomplishment. a little crazy, but AMAZING!

AT: Unfortunately I did not have any hallucinations :) I never felt sleepy tired, just physically tired (and I don't use caffeine). I've heard some great hallucination stories from other ultrarunners I train with though.

I had done some overnight runs in preparation, so I didn't freak out in the deep dark night. There were some weird noises (cows? bull frogs?) that we couldn't quite distinguish, but I was never afraid. In fact, I LOVE running in the middle of the night...the trails are a different world in the dark.

Thanks jtrimom...I've been told that its more than just a little crazy :)

Aw shucks. :) I was hoping I could read your report aloud and have it sync up to Pink Floyd (either you get this or you think I'm an idiot).

Awesome report and race. Congratulations.
