crutches... ugh... i am a disaster on those.. my husband ended up just carrying me around (before we were married) for the few days i had to use them as he couldn't stand to see me use them i was so pathetic on them....
that was from knee surgery years ago...

Did pick up some stretch cords for swim training...found some exercises I can do with the kettle bells while sitting down and without stressing the foot. Can keep up with core without stressing the foot...

Yup! Follow up exam is Wednesday and I'll know then but the doctor has already told me after the bandages come off he'll cast me till the last week of June. It's a non-load bearing injury so I can't even drive.

I have that same scar, position, length...mine's a little older, though...and on the other foot...other than that it's just the same...except that it was for peroneal tendonitis/synovitis...so kinda the same except not really :)

I finally figured out a
I finally figured out a GREAT use for compression socks!
I'm wearing one under my walking cast!
Walked just a bit too much on the leg yesterday and was sore and cramping by bed time!
Today, compression sock (CVS $19.95 knee high) and it feels great on the leg...
This has been quite the learning experience...
Some new stuff on the blog.
PT starts Monday...hopefully I'll get the Ok for swimming. (never thought I'd say that!)
