IMAZ concerns - punctures/bottle launchging -suggestions?
I use profile bottle cages on my P2C and used to launch bottles (especially if the bump was in a corner) but have had good luck with using an o-ring around the bottle cage. I just put it around the cage and the mounting bolts secure it between the cage and hydro tail.

Cool, Mine have orings built in to the design, but still occasionally launch. Did you get o-rings aftermarket? I'm not even sure where I would try to find new ones to double up or replace mine.
I'm ditching my rear mount for the race in favor of a Profile Design aero bottle (water) and a regular bottle (nutrition) on my down tube. After losing 1/2 my nutrition at a HIM earlier this summer it's not something I want to risk. Not consuming enough on the bike is bad enough at 1/2 distance and I have NO desire to risk doing it at a full.

Jetskr - sounds like all of your nutrition is infinit or another beverage... is that right? I've been using GU, Clif Bars and Shot blocks. a little cumbersome at times to carry, but haven't been able to find much in the way of drinks/powders locally.
If you are really woried about punctures, take some prevetative measures and put some of that green puncture goo in your tires, might add a few grams but it will stop a lot of small punctures.
As for the bottle launch, not sure what cages you use, but bendable aluminium cages will allow you to clamp them in better.

FWIW this is what I have - http://www.profile-design.com/profile-design/products/hydration/all-hydr...
Thanks all for the feedback so far!
Hey IthinkIcan,
Yea, I'm using all Infinit and have been for a while. It's great stuff and generally doesn't leave me hungry at all. What are you carrying in the wing? Water?
For the flats I'm going with a couple tire liners. They'll add 6 oz. to the over all tire weight but, really, my tires aren't where I need to lose wight. I know all that about rolling weight, but IMHO more can be done by shedding the gut and body fat first.
Thanks Jetskr -
I ride w/ water/gatorade in the wing. I've been forcing myself to drink more gatorade as I know I need the electrolytes. my next debate is whether to go carrying 3 bottles or two. I ride a cervelo so i have the one bottle holder on the frame and then the two w/ the wing. I was thinking about using the frame bottle holder to stuff a bottle w/ tools/tubes and emergency junk. I'm not experienced w/ bike aid stations though, so not sure it will play a big factor on race day.
For puncture prevention, check out Mr. Tuffys -- they are like a liner that goes between the tire and tube. I use them in the same tires you have.
Oh, and on Saturday they got me almost home! Pencil eraser sized hole through a tire that I noticed about 34 miles from home... the Mr. Tuffys had held for the ride there, and they made it to within 6 miles of home (and then they with the help of a gel wrapper made it the rest of the way).

I've read recently, that folks in AZ are having lots of trouble w/ tire punctures due to the thorns from tumble weeds. Some suggest liners for your tires. Not sure I need that or should consider different tires. I just bought a set of Pro Race 3's and don't live in an area w/ puncture concerns. Think these will do the trick to offer enough protection?
2nd concern is launching bottles. I'd really like to be able to use my rear bottle mounts, which are normally pretty secure. However, decent bumps send those suckers flying. I don't like leaving anything to chance. Do any of you tie them down or add a strap just in case?
I can change flats, but I'd rather prevent them. Likewise, I can chase bottles, but I'd rather prevent the problem. Hence why the bike is in the shop now getting a good going over as a safety check.
