2009 New York City Marathon Race Report

Although I don't contribute much, I really enjoy reading the posts and race reports on this forum. Here's my turn to share.

Nice report...well done. Your race mindset/pacing strategy during the race sounds strangely similar to mine, except you held it together after hitting the wall much better. Cool that you got to run with Lance too. Thanks for posting.

PR by 30mins? That's fantastic! Nice RR, well done.
... I just hoped that the energy from the enormous crowds would allow me to keep this pace up.
Ah, race day magic :)

Nice race! After what you learned on a tough NYC course, you'll break 3:30 for sure next time.

Congratulations!
sounds like an amazing life experience.

Nice race on a tough course with a real strong wind. It isn't the easiest course to PR and you did.

Nice report. NYC marathon is a great experience. Lots of energy and crowd support.
Congratulations!!

Well written report. Sounds like you had a great time. Reading it made me want to do that race.

Great Race report! I like reading about the way people push through their tough spots b/c inevitably, we all go through them. Thanks for sharing and congratulations. Good luck in Dallas :)
