This was my first 70.3. It was amazing. So much funner than sprints. I havent entered many tri races but have been in a lot of other races. Soma was a bitchen expirience. Great weather, great coarse, well organized, easy to find where your going. There were tons of voluteers. The H20 stations and electrolytes were frequent. I love this distance. Seems like it breaks you down a little more, but at the finish you feel that much more alive. I would recomend Soma 70.3 in 2010 to anyone who was contemplating it. I cant wait to do another. Vineman 70.3 is what im looking at( reg is NOV 1st...right?)

Splits: swim 35 min , bike 2:35, run 1:50 (running is my thing, I kinda fell apart, but thats ok)
final time 5:03

Why? Many people have asked me... to test my limits ... and to push beyond them.

Crikey. I'm training in the hopes I could fall apart like that in my first HIM. Well done!

Wow, fast splits, congrats!
Some people like shorter distances but i agree with you, longer is more fun. Even though i'm nowhere as fast as you.
Good job
