I find the fact that people have bid on this is unbelievable.

for as long as there are sellers there would be buyers...for some people medals and t-shirts means nothing, for some everything...
kind of sad...

Maybe for someone who finished, but lost their medal?

Still strange.

Hard days hard, easy days easy.

Holy crap. $51? And here I've been stuffing my finisher medals in a box like an idiot.

I think that this reason is more common than we may think.... perhaps it was to replace a lost one, or maybe one would buy it to 'frame' with a picture. But yah, somewhat strange.

You want funny?? A buddy of mine was wearing a Boston Marathon Finishers jacket the other day. Knowing he was not, and should I add far from, a runner I questioned it. He got it at TJ Maxx...

It's so they can hang it in their office and tell people they ran _____ without actaully training for it. Now if only there was a system of networked computers and databases where you could search through races for a list for marathon finishers . . .

Geez, if the medals start going for enough, they could cover one's race entry fee! ;)

How about this one??? - you get an entire set of medals! :)

And all this time I have been running and finishing the races to get my medal.
What was I thinking? ;-)

Some people are hard up for cash? Other people are collectors.......
In 20 years if someone has a set of 30 consecutive medals, maybe it's worth something to a museum..
I only got 2 and they are staying with me.
